Day 37: Icicles

After just two days of snow it's all slowly melting away. It was beautiful while it lasted, but we had so many slips and falls. Even I ended up doing the splits down the steps in front of the aid station. My hip is still a bit sore.
Oh, and since everyone is leaving such nice comments about my father, I thought I'd share this picture of us with you...

Laura,
what beautiful pictures. you have such a good eye. it's strange how you can be walking along, not really thinking about taking pictures and all of a sudden something catches your eye and you know that would make a wonderful picture. then time seems to stop and you are in your own little world for that moment and it's peaceful. you are alone with the world. i think taking pictures can de-stress me faster than almost anything.

now, completely off the subject of photos. i want you to know what a blessing you are in my life. sometimes we are not sure why we are led down a certain path in life, but i am so thankful for the path that led me to you (and your dad). you are truly a remarkable young lady and i love you.
i am so proud of you, laura. i miss you.
love, jan

What a beautiful pic of you and your dad! I hope your hip is feeling better. It's never a good thing when you have to deal with walking on ice, no matter how much traction your boots may have. Take care!!

Laura you have some great pictures. My husband is in the Air Force and I have a good friend in the Army, she just returned from Iraq a couple of weeks ago. Keep up the good work with Project 365.

You do look a lot like your dad now! :-) And those icicles are beautiful, I still can't grasp the idea that you have snow!

I love the picture of you and your dad. I can tell you have followed in his footsteps in serving others from looking at his t-shirt in the pic. He must be bursting at the seams with pride for his remarkable daughter. I am so glad to get to know you through your blog. Thank you so much for your service, and I'm proud of you too.

Laura,
Finally I have your blog info. One of Scrappuccino's customers has been keeping up with you and she shared with me. We really loved your class at the shop. I made 4 more of the projects for my family. I still have yours...want me to hold on to it? I'm glad you are doing well. If I can send you some supplies or some of the newest product, then give me your address and I'll mail you some things. Hang in there girl!
