Day 47: Construction

This is some construction tape that I saw around a new barracks building we're supposed to move into in the spring. They're working as fast as they can to build new stuff here all the time. It seems like there's construction going on every where you look.

You're welcome it is the least I can do after all your hard work. Stop by anytime there are always pictures of my little ones doing something.

I am hoping that the place you are moving into is nicer then were you are now. I know its no Ritz Carlton but you guys deserve something nice.

Take care.

We received word from the American Red Cross (ARC) that Laura was onboard a Black Hawk helicopter that went down in Afghanistan. The ARC representative reported that there were no critical injuries.

Public news reports are saying that a Black Hawk helicopter with seven others on board was responding to a medical evacuation when it went down in western Afghanistan. News reports indicate that it was not shot down by enemy fire. All crew members are reported to have survived and there were no critical injuries being reported.

The ARC representative stated that it may be several weeks before we hear directly from Laura. So please keep sending your wonderful messages and understand that it may be a while before we have a direct response from her, confirming she is OK. I will make posts as I know anything.

Laura is OK. She is not injured and we did receive an email and a phone call from here. There is an investigation going on because it appears that the information was totally false and my not have originated from the American Red Cross.

I am so glad to know Laura is ok. I've only "known" her a short while, but I feel like we are becoming friends. I'll keep her in my prayers. Thank you for letting us know that she is ok.
