100 Blog Followers

Hee! Hee! Did you see who my 100th Blog Follower is? My sweet hubs! :-) LOVE HIM!!!

I think this calls for another blog candy....

Here are the details:

Just leave a comment here on this post for a chance to win. Let's try to make it interesting for me to read rather than the typical "pick me!" comments. So... tell me how you originally came to my blog and why you've decided to stick around. Also, since this celebration is especially for Blog Followers you must be a follower to receive the candy this time around. Oh, and there will be several winners. Like I said a couple days ago, I have a HUGE stash to dish out. I'll pick the random winners on Monday.

P.S. I'm still having the blog candy for the scraplifter of the month this weekend as well. It's candy-palooza!

Hi, Laura! Congrats on 100! I hate to say it - but I don't remember how I got to your blog! It was one of those times when you get lost in blog-land and jump from blog to blog to blog following links, names of followers, etc. So instead, I'll tell you why I decided to follow you. Your cards are darling! Your style is definitely similar to my own, and since making cards is something I want to get better at/do more often (usually I just scrapbook) I wanted to follow you for some inspiration. Congrats again, and thank you for the chance to win! (Congrats on all of your publications, by the way! That's another dream of mine. Any chance you might post some tips for those of us who want to follow suit?) :) Have a great night!

Hi Laura,

Well, every once in a while I wake up in the morning and cannot find my creativity. I seek out new bloggers for inspiration and cool new techniques. The designs and techniques are endless and so much fun to try out. I stick with your blog b/c I like what I see. You are very talented and inspiring! Thanks for the opportunity!

Heeeeeey. I don't remember how I found your blog to be honest, but when I did I knew I had to follow! I loveeee your cards, and love Ethan. He is sooooo darn cute, I just wanna squeeze his little cheeks! I have always wanted to be a scrapbooker, but could never find creativity in myself, and looking at your blog and beautifully made cards, is intimidating, and now I know it is def a gift! Lol I just don't got it! You seem like a sweetie just reading your posts!

p.s. mad props for being a CHICK in the Army!

Congratulations on the 100 (now 101 - I just realised that I wasn't following though I'd added you to my blog roll) :)

How did I come here? Ahh... not sure if I remember right but I guess through one of your PTI creations.
Why am I following you? I love your work. I love how you use patterned paper in your work (and I loved PP even when it was hardly available out here - till very very recently); I also love your bright colors. I would love to case one of your cards one day (when I have the right supplies ;-))
Why did I decide to stick around - well, for all of the above reasons! :-)

Thank you for the chance! Congrats once again!!

Hugs from across oceans,
Smita

Ciao Laura!
congratulations for your 100 blog followers! I remember I was jumping from blog to blog and suddenly I discovered yours. When I saw your cards I loved them immediately. I really like your style, I think it's elegant, nice and the colors always match very well. So I decided to be a follower. That's why I often write on your blog to write some nice comments about your wonderful projects. Thank you so much for giving me the chance, and I look forward to see another card of yours. Laura, I found you on an old friend's blog quite some time ago. You were in A...I followed you through the street markets with your friends, watched the four of you eat...was it ice cream?, and saw your 'room' all the while praying for you and your return safely to the US. Have cried for you, laughed with you, and watched Ethan grow into the wonderful little man that he can be at 6 months. the entire time have admired you and your cards...I even remember Vince making one in Afghanistan. And they say my memory is fading!!! I love to check my emails every morning to see if you have something posted. Seeing your fabulous cards is uplifting first thing in the am. So bright and full of wonder. Yes, girl you hooked me some time ago!!!

Congrats on reaching 100, Laura! Hmmm . . . I think I came to your blog the first time to leave a comment on a project you submitted to Cooking With Cricut and then I stayed because I love the projects you create! You are very talented and inspiring.

Thanks awesome! Nothing better then that person being your hubby too.

I found your blog after reading a comment you left on a Becky Higgins blog post. I was caught by the pictures of your tour over seas. Hit close to home with my brother-in-law being there at the same time. It was interesting to think that he was seeing the same type of things. Then when I read the post on New Years on why you joined in the first place you brought tears to my eyes. It was the most selfless thing you could have done. You are an inspiration both in life and in creative express.

I was blog surfing, looking for card making ideas. Your blog name made me look twice. I am a soldier's Mom. So you can see why your blog title would make me want to see more. But I stay and lurk because your cards are beautiful.

Congrats. I subscribe rather than follow, you're in my Google Reader list, so I never miss a post. I don't remember how I first came, but you were blogging about your niece and Flat Stanley and I am still hoping he will come visit me in Chicago for some deep dish pizza!

Hi Laura-
Actually you found me and I was so excited about it. Being fairly new to blogging, I get so tickled when someone new stops by!

100 followers!! Woohoo that rocks!

I am following because I like your work and realized that I can use all of my scrapbooking materials for card making. I've always scrapbooked but I don't have kids or pets..so it seems like I don't get as many "moments" as I'd like. You can make cards for anyone and any occasion. Its perfect for me! Your cards are beautiful and fun; I plan on grabbing a few ideas to get me started ;o)

oh yeah.."hubs" is so cute! that totally cracked me up!

I found your blog through the Precious Scraps blog. I follow because I really like your style! I am pretty C&S , so I am trying to actually learn to use patterned paper. Your cards are amazing- and I think it's great that you have so much work published!
Congratulations on 100 followers!

I'm not sure how I found your blog but I've been following your life in the Army for a long while now. I've enjoyed reading of your adventures, meeting Vince, getting married and having little Ethan. I admire your strength and courage. I also love your cards!

Hi Laura, congrats on 100 ...or well its 115 now :) I came to your blog from Smita's blog who participated in your Scraplift challenge (I am alwasy scouting for challenges :D).
I browsed though your blog and loved the way you use the pattern papers together. I am basically more into CAS and although I have a big stash of PP, I never am able to put them together on a card.

I decided to stick around in the hope of learning something about PPs from you and well I am surely gonna case some of your awesome creations :)
