Sergeant Laura says...

"Participate in the Memorial Day Weekend Bloghop!"

"That's an ORDER!"

Did I scare you? Just Kidding! Heehee

Anyway, I really do encourage you to participate in this bloghop. Obviously, as a Soldier and a Soldier's wife, things like this have a bit of a significant meaning to me. Please support the good cause. If there's a special Service Member in your life. Please leave a comment. We'd love to honor them!

Here's my card:

And here's the button that will take you back to the start of the hop if you're a start from the front kinda person:

But... may I recommend just starting from here and making a full loop on back around. The hop is a little long, so why not keep up your momentum, go forward, be booty-licious, and give the back-end some love too!

Next on the blog hop list is ANITA...

Happy Memorial Day!

P.S. Don't forget to stand up when the flag passes by, and teach your children too as well. It really breaks this little Soldier's heart when everyone just sits on their bum.  Memorial Day is a celebration, but it's also sorta like a funeral. Please be respectful to those that have left their lives in order to let us live ours.

Me & My Hubs

Wow- what a fantastic card- the detail and bright, vibrant colors. I have to say though, the picture of you and your "hubs" outshines the card (I know- you didn't think that would be possible). May God bless you and keep you both making His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

SUPERB card! and thanks to you and hubs for serving! I am very patriotic, and I know what you mean my kids generation are like "so what" it kind of pisses me off! sorry.
I am surrounded by vets both alive and passed on. Dad very in WWII in the Navy, as did his brother in the army. uncle charlie was injured pretty severely by a "German Potato masher" in the "Battle of the Bulge" and rec'd the purple heart. Sadly, my own son (now 25) says if they bring the draft back, he's leaving for Canada. I don't get it.

BTW, you guys look awesome in your fatigues!
Enjoy your weekend!
Susan

Love all of your comments on your blog AND your card, of course! Thank you to you and your hubby for serving our country and protecting OUR bums (as you so aptly put it!). Memorial Day is like a funeral, but people have forgotten because it's become another 3-day weekend full of sales. We HONOR your service and the service of those who have left their lives on the battlefield. THANK YOU!

BTW, I do LOVE your card. Wondering where the image/stamp came from. Loved all of your stitching, too! I never think to add stitching, so maybe I'll challenge myself to try - even if it is just faux stitching.

Wow - this card is beautiful! The stitching you added really leads the eye around your card nicely. Thank you for your service (and your hubby's). It bothers me to see people not respecting the flag, anthems, all that. It's such a privilege to live in this nation. I grew up in the military, married a disabled Army guy, and have great admiration for all our service people. Thanks!
