Operation: Thank the Troops

It's about that time again for the Soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division to jump back into the sandbox. That means it's also time for Operation: Thank the Troops. Let me tell you a little bit about this program. It works just like most of the typical groups that send cards over, but this group is actually run by Soldiers unlike other organizations. We know where our comrades are and where help is needed. We also don't focus on one particular unit like other organizations do. We provide to ALL TROOPS, not just the ones we have personal connections with. The second part of this organization is to provide non-profit classes and crops for the spouses, children, and Soldiers that are left behind during a deployment. Can you imagine missing over a year of your family's life back home?! Our mission isn't just to let our Battle Buddies know that we're still here supporting them, but to record and scrapbook the memories back home that they would otherwise miss. We would love to put your no longer used scrapbook supplies to good use. Here is our address:
Operation: Thank the Troops
P.O. Box 323
Fort Campbell, KY 42223

This is a great cause, totally awesome!
Wish I knew about it a month ago when I donated all my stuff. I'll keep it in mind and try to sift thru the stash again to send out a little something!

What a great idea, my hat is off to you, and I need to get my "STUFF" ready to send to you.
I am a widowed military wife so I know some of what these wives, and their families are going through.
God Bless You in this endeavor.

Hi there! I stumbled on your blog....very coooool! I've been coordinating cardmakers across the US (mostly at xxxxxxx) for a while now, making blank cards and sending them to soldiers stationed on the battlefield. We send out a couple hundred a month, and get the addies through xxxxx.com---if you have anyone you know who would want cards, let me know!

I know you posted this a while ago and I was meaning to link it then to my blog! I linked you now and am taking donations at my Holidays for Hero's cardmaking event in October. I hope to get a bunch of goodies for you then!
