I forgot to mention. I'm leaving for NYC in an hour. We're doing some training up at West Point. I'll be back Saturday night though, so I'm sure I won't get to do too much sightseeing. What a bummer! I've never been to New York before. I feel like I'm totally missing out on some great adventures. Does anyone have some ideas on what I MUST DO while I'm there?

How wonderful, being a native New Yorker, there is so much to do, uptown, downtown midtown. Talk a walk around Times Square and visit Rockefeller Center and Radio City, they are all within walking distance and this is something you could do in the evening. have a wonderful time.
Oh, New York! I wish you find time to visit, there are so many things there! (personally, I'd go to Times Square and scream "Yatta!" to feel a little like my favourite Heroes character, LOL).
See ya next week! :)
I've never been, so I wouldn't know what ot tell you other than to have some fun and try to do some sort of sight-seeing!!!
Times Square is a must but I would also add the World Trade Ceter Site. It's a powerful place for those who serve this nation it gives perspective. If you have a thing for purses don't miss Chinatown. But if you can see one thing, make it times square it IS the New York Experience. We lived there 3 years in Brookyln, there'a an Army bast there, and still didn't see everthing so don't feel bad.. West Point is an AWESOME place to visit too I hear. Maybe check that out if you don't make it into the city.
The only thing I might add to Michelle's post is Central Park.. or at least one of the many smaller parks scattered throughout the city. Amazing the feeling of peace and tranquility one can so easily experience is the hustle and bustle, Also, a true NYC experience.. the subway..
Have a good trip; I've never been to NYC, but it is on my list. As previously posted, I would want to visit the World Trade Center site, and I would also want to go to a Broadway show. Can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back.
